South Africa vs Mexico: The Xbox 360 World Cup

Simple idea. FIFA World Cup 2010 for the Xbox 360, 5 minute halves, with the computer controlling both teams. Replays of goals uploaded to youtube. I’ve got a spare wallchart so might even try and do the whole thing like this if you guys enjoy it.

It’s 1-0 to South Africa at half-time. Benni McCarthy scored:

Obviously that wouldn’t happen IRL as McCarthy didn’t make the final 23. As I type this Mexico have equalised, the 37-year-old Blanco showing a surprising turn of pace:

Moments into injury time, McCarthy makes it 2-1 after a very helpful, if entirely ill-advised, flick-on:

And that’s how it finished. Quite fun, this. I should just about have time to do France v Uruguay before the opening ceremony starts.
